Priory Nursing Agency & Homecare

Our Staff

We are aware that the skills and dedication of our support workers are essential to the quality of the service we provide. Priory Homecare highly values their Staff and is committed to their ongoing training, job satisfaction and development. We provide our own in-house training, giving us control over the quality and relevance of content and topics covered. Our company also makes use of external training partners to cover more advanced areas of learning.

All our staff of nurses and domiciliary carers are carefully interviewed, selected and trained to provide home care services to persons such as the ill, disabled, those with impaired learning abilities, or other individuals for whom home care is essential. Our care workers are also carefully screened and undergo a Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) check and have their references and training records checked, before being offered work.

Many of our carers work consistently with our clients over long periods of time, nurturing a trusting, bonding relationship with them

Whilst we do our own in-house induction training and periodic refresher training for support workers, we also have a partnership in place with an accredited trainer to provide Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), aimed at providing carers with a greater understanding of their role as support workers. We also arrange for specialist training provided by local authorities and health bodies when circumstances or equipment are such that further training and support is required.

Often the clients express a clear preference for having particular carers assigned to them and of course, schedules permitting, we are very happy to oblige when this is requested. Many of our carers work consistently with our clients over long periods of time, nurturing a trusting, bonding relationship with them.
